Many people are deeply unhappy with the Labour Government and want change.
There is only one mechanism for this to be done legally in the UK:
Parliament must be dissolved and a new General Election held.
Parliament can only be dissolved by The King.
There are two ways that this can happen:
1) The Prime Minister can ask The King to dissolve Parliament.
2) The King can choose to dissolve Parliament for some other reason.
It is the latter course of action that we seek to Petition the King to take.
Some will claim that the King can not take this action without instruction from parliament but this is the mechanism by which parliament is held to account when all else has failed.
The Prime Minister and Government no longer hold the confidence of the British People.
For those who wish to argue that the King has no political role they should note that the King dissolved the previous Parliament and opened the current one. That is how it is done.
Petitions have come to be seen as a letter with many signatures from different people however that is just one form. A petition is a formal request to an authority with respect to a particular cause. This petition requests that the King dissolve parliament and that a General Election be held.

Note that the legislation (Bill of Rights) that guarantees the right of the people to petition The King, is the very same which established the succession of monarchs that make His Majesty our Monarch. They go hand in hand. removing one removes the other.
